Chennai, July 22nd, 2024: In a pioneering effort led by the Department of Neurosciences under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Dinesh Nayak, the Neuro Emergency Management Simulation (NEMS) course has set a new benchmark in medical education. Aimed at neurologists, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, critical care, and emergency medicine physicians, this immersive training program simulated acute neurological emergencies to prepare participants for real-life scenarios.
The course, held recently at Gleneagles Health City Chennai saw participation of over 200 from medical professionals across the state, underscoring its relevance and impact in enhancing emergency management skills. Facilitated by a distinguished panel including Dr. Mathew Joseph (CMC Vellore), Dr. Thilaka Muthiah, Durga, Dr. Prathema Ramachandran, Dr. Prasad Kumaresan, Dr. Mohana Selvi, Dr. Natesan Damodaran, Dr. Nigel Peter Symss, and Dr. Ramanan Rajagopal, the NEMS course provided a comprehensive learning experience through practical simulations.
