He worked as an Assistant Professor of Nephrology for 10 years at Osmania Medical College and Hospital, later he served as a Professor and Head of the Department of Nephrology at Gandhi Medical College and Hospital for more than 20 years. he was also a Dean of the Gandhi Medical College for 3 years.

He was instrumental in starting the Kidney Transplant programme in Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in 1999 September.

He became an Additional Director of Medical Education in 2009 and retired in 2010.

He also served as Professor and Head of the department of Nephrology at Kamineni Institute of Medical College, Narketpally and involved in increased incidence of CKD of Unknown aetiology – awareness.

He was Examiner for DM candidates for 10+ years, he served as a president of Indian Society of Nephrology for the year 2016, and was Executive Member of ISN for 5 years.
 

He has also served as a President of Indian Society of Nephrology, Southern Chapter.

He has also authored a book by name "Postgraduate in Nephrology" which helped many nephrology students to understand the Nephrology in depth.

He also had attended various National and International conferences and has been invited to chair academic sessions in Nephrology Conferences.

He also served as MCI inspector for starting the DM course in South India, Kilpauk Medical College and Stanley Medical College.

He was awarded fellowship in Nephrology by ISN in 2009 at ISN national conference held at Guwahati.

He is a member of International Society of Nephrology and serving as a Board Member of South East Asia (ISN)

He has started Free Dialysis Programs for poor patients in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from 2009.

He was a draft member of Jeevandhan (Cadaver Transplant Programme) initiated by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and subsequently continued by the Government of Telangana.

He has organised many social events to propagate awareness about chronic kidney disease. He was the Brand ambassador for International World Kidney Day for South India.

He has hosted several Nephrology and Haemodialysis CME’s, Workshops, State, National and International Conferences.

He has also published articles and Case Studies in Indian Journal of Nephrology & Transplantation.
