Dr Aniket is a Paediatric Hepatologist, Liver transplant specialist and Gastroenterologist based in Mumbai. He has extensive knowledge and experience in evaluating, diagnosing and treating a wide range of liver, biliary, pancreas and gastrointestinal diseases in children. He has completed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Rajiv Gandhi government medical college, Thane following which he completed Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in paediatrics and then pursued senior residency at Bai Jerbai Wadia hospital for children, Parel, Mumbai. He then acquired a super-specialty degree, Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Paediatric Hepatology with specialised training in liver transplant treatment and care from the reputed Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in New Delhi. He additionally worked as a Honorary Clinical Observer at the world renowned King’s College NHS trust Hospital in London and Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Trust Hospital in the United kingdom. He aspires to provide the best treatment to paediatric patients with liver problems, ranging from newborn up to 18 years, while also contributing to advancement in the field of Paediatric Hepatology and Gastroenterology via research and teaching.
His areas of interest include the diagnosis and treatment of various liver conditions such as parenchymal and cholestatic liver diseases, metabolic liver Diseases, paediatric biliary disorders, vascular liver diseases, liver transplant care (Pre-transplant and Post transplant), Pain in abdomen, Constipation, Diarrhoea- loose stools, Blood in stools along with pancreatic disorders and nutrition. He also is skilled in paediatric procedures such as upper endoscopy (variceal banding and sclerotherapy), colonoscopy, percutaneous liver biopsy, HVPG measurement, H-pylori testing, foreign body removal, polypectomy.
